A graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., Menin began his career as a real estate broker before founding Menin Development Companies, Inc. in New York City in 1985. Within two years, at age 26, he had purchased six shopping centers in Virginia, Tennessee and Florida. Menin moved his company’s operations to Virginia shortly thereafter, where he continued to acquire and develop a number of retail properties throughout the region.
In 1995, Menin established a Florida division, and relocated the company to Palm Beach County the following year.
Today, Menin Development owns and manages more than $800 million of high quality shopping centers, with another 2.1 million square feet under development. Menin continues to explore new acquisition and development opportunities, with additional plans to expand and enhance current holdings.
Menin is as a board member of the Palm Beach County Cultural Council and on the Executive Committee of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. He and his wife are actively involved in a number of philanthropic efforts, including the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, Quantum House, March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Norton Museum of Art, Nicklaus Children’s Charities, and the Scripps Research Institute of Florida.
Yavinsky joined Menin as a partner in late 2006. He primarily oversees leasing, acquisitions, financing and new growth opportunities for Menin in major markets throughout the U.S.
Yavinsky was previously Senior VP / Manager of the Boca Raton office of Capmark Finance, Inc., formerly GMAC Commercial Mortgage where he consistently placed in the top 5% of the company’s loan officers. During his tenure at Capmark, he successfully orignated more than 100 transactions for total loan volume over $2.0 Billion.
A ’92 graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in Finance and Marketing, Yavinsky is actively involved in the South Florida community, serving on various educational and non-profit, charitable committees. He lives in West Palm Beach, Florida with his wife, Liz, and their four children.
Lori Lucas serves as Menin Development’s Controller and chief financial officer. She has an extensive background directing finance and accounting divisions of major development, construction and property management companies.
Lucas joined Menin in 2006 from Stor-All Management where she served as Director of Finance. Previously, she was with Catafulmo Companies, an $80 million development and construction firm, where she served as Controller.
Lucas is a graduate of Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
